Chair of Governors - Dominic Carver
I have lived in Leigh for over twenty years and have two children, one currently at Belfairs Academy. I am delighted to have been on the local Governing Body of Belfairs Academy for four years and been able to watch the academy grow and develop during that time. I myself work in education and am currently a primary school headteacher. I am committed to doing all I can to helping the academy do the best for all its students.
Governor - Emma Baldock
This is a very exciting time for the Academy. We have a wonderful building and a highly energetic and loyal staff all of whom are committed to working hard for the benefit of the students. It is the aim of the Governing Body to become an outstanding Academy very soon and we will support the staff and students in every way possible in order to achieve our objective.
Governor - Aideen Sadler
Aideen has over 15 years' experience in employability and skills where she has project managed national back-to-work programmes for government. In her current role at the University of Essex, she leads employer engagement for the Southend Campus working with national and international employers to create work opportunities for students as well as collaborating on start-up enterprise projects. Holding a degree in marketing she has recently worked with businesses in delivering digital marketing apprenticeship frameworks. Aideen is aware of the opportunities and challenges that face our children in the ever-changing workplace and is committed to supporting Belfairs to become an "Outstanding" Academy where both staff and students can achieve their full potential.
Governor - Michael Upton
Michael has lived in Leigh on Sea for 15 years and he has a daughter at Belfairs Academy. He is very excited to be joining the Academy as a governor this year and contributing to the ongoing success of its students and community. Michael is Head of Student Recruitment at London Metropolitan University and was previously Head of Marketing and Communications at South Essex College, Southend. He holds a Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies, a Masters in Film Production and is a CIM Chartered Marketer.
Governor - Ross Williams
I have worked at Belfairs Academy for 14 years and I have had the pleasure of being a part of its road to success.
I look forward to bringing my expertise in Primary Transition, Behaviour Management and student Enrichment to the LGB.
I believe that every child should be given the opportunity to succeed and I hope that with my role on the LGB we will continue to make this possible for all children that pass through the doors of Belfairs Academy

Belfairs Governing Body comprises of 10 Governors which include the CEO, staff Governor and parent Governor and they meet 11 times a year.
