Girls Uniform Requirements

Compulsory items

  • Maroon blazer with Belfairs Academy logo
  • White long or short sleeved shirt with top button fastened.
  • Belfairs Academy tie
  • Knee length black pleated school skirt or tailored black trousers
  • Plain black, low heeled, closed in shoes which are safe and suitable for inclement weather. All stitching must be black. Shoe laces must be black. No gold/silver straps or buckles. NO PLIMSOLES OR TRAINERS. Shoes only with skirts. No boots. Ankle boots are allowed when worn under trousers.
  • Black opaque tights or plain black socks

Optional items

  • Maroon V-neck jumper with Belfairs Academy logo
  • Maroon outer fleece with Belfairs Academy logo

Additional Information

School Bags - A strong suitable school bag is an essential item for every student.

Make-up - Absolutely no make-up is allowed in Years 7, 8 and 9; discreet make-up is permitted in Years 10 and 11. Fake tans are not allowed. False nails/extensions are not allowed.

Hair bands/scrunchies - These must be a plain dark colour only.

Hair - All hair must be natural in colour; there must be no extreme styles and no patterns or tram lines cut into the hair.

Footwear - A student with a medical problem must have a doctor's note (doctors strongly recommend supportive shoes for most foot problems). The student should be sent with the medical note to their tutor.

Trainers - For wearing in Physical Education only, and must not be worn as part of normal school wear. All students have been advised about the correct type of trainers that must be worn for PE/sports activities.

Uniform Infringement Procedure - Staff are responsible for enforcing the academy uniform policy. We request that all parents/carers support of our policy. We will provide extra support and guidance where necessary.

In the case of financial hardship - The student should also be sent to their College Leader for the possible issue of a special card. In these circumstances the parent may be referred to the governing body.
